Turkic Trade Fair Held in Istanbul
The “Turkic Trade Fair – Turkic States Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum” was held on November 7-9 at the Istanbul Expo Center. Organized by ROK International Consultancy and Fair Organization, the event was hosted under the auspices of the Turkish Ministry of Trade in collaboration with the Organization of Turkic States and the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI). The Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA) participated with a full team presence.
The Turkic Trade Fair is the largest business event among Turkic states, supported by the government institutions of eight nations, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Hungary, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, and Turkmenistan. Its aim is to foster trade, industry, investments, technology, and services among these countries while facilitating the promotion of their economic potential to other regions worldwide.
The fair is set to be held annually in a different Turkic state, with Azerbaijan hosting the event in the spring and Türkiye in the fall of the upcoming year. Its primary goal is to strengthen economic ties and advance trade, industry, technology, services, and other key economic sectors among the Turkic states.
Sponsored by Bank Pozitif, the event featured exhibitions of various product categories and cutting-edge technologies. Additionally, seven panel discussions and a seminar were held, covering topics such as: The economic power and investment opportunities in Turkic states, The development of sports, Agricultural trade, Franchising and branding, The role of women in the economy, Mediation and arbitration in commercial disputes, The future of entrepreneurship in the Turkic states.
These discussions, led by experts in their respective fields, provided valuable insights into fostering economic collaboration. Through B2B meetings and franchise negotiations, the event enabled companies to establish strategic partnerships and promote the creation of joint brands within the Turkic states.
The fair hosted nearly 100 companies from Turkic states, with the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA) receiving significant attention in its dedicated pavilion for Hungarian businesses. Additionally, over 3,000 businesspeople from Europe, Africa, and several other countries—including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Malaysia, Indonesia, North Macedonia, and Georgia—attended as visitors, making the event an international success.
