Last preparations at the Tomb of Gül Baba
The renovation project carried out to renovate the Tomb of Gül Baba located in Hungary nearly comes to an end. The alterations on the gardens with terrace and, the park have been completed and, started to serve to the public. The old Wagner Villa surrounding the Tomb is now serving as a café, where the visitors get some rest. The Tomb of Gül Baba has been transformed to a special location with a gift shop, seminary rooms and an exhibition hall for Cultural Activities. It is planned that the official opening would take place with the participation of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and, the Hungarian government officials.
The tomb was first renovated by Hungarian experts in 1963 after it was damaged during the World War II. The last renovation started in August of the previous year in cooperation with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and Hungarian officials.
The Tomb of Gül Baba with its gardens is one of the most beautiful parks of Budapest. Those who wish to enjoy the peace and fragrance of the flowers are strongly recommended to spend some time at the park.
