The event, which attracted strong interest from Hungarian companies, created new opportunities for business cooperation aimed at strengthening bilateral trade relations. In 2024, bilateral trade between the two countries increased by 6% compared to the previous year, reaching a record level of USD 4.91 billion.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Organized by HEPA T\u00fcrkiye, the annual \u201cTurkish Day\u201d event once again hosted an important platform in Budapest for enhancing economic and trade relations between T\u00fcrkiye and Hungary. Bringing together prominent representatives of the Hungarian business community, the event drew significant attention from Hungarian companies aiming to enter the Turkish market. Throughout the sessions, participants exchanged views on strengthening bilateral trade, supported by economic presentations and data-driven analyses.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Opening Remarks and Emphasis on Cooperation<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]The opening speeches were delivered by H.E. G\u00fclsen Karanis Ek\u015fio\u011flu, Ambassador of the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye to Budapest; Ms. Katalin Bihari, Deputy State Secretary for Foreign Economic Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and CEO of HEPA; Mr. Suat G. Karaku\u015f, Chairman of the DE\u0130K Turkish\u2013Hungarian Business Council; and Mr. Yal\u00e7\u0131n Orhon, General Manager of HEPA T\u00fcrkiye.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]As part of the program, Mr. Mikl\u00f3s Buj\u00e1ky, Hungary\u2019s Commercial Attach\u00e9 in Istanbul, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the current outlook of the Turkish economy, sectoral opportunities, and potential partnerships for Hungarian companies. The event continued with a panel discussion titled \u201cDoing Business in T\u00fcrkiye\u201d, moderated by Mr. Emre Cihad S\u00f6nmez, Country Director of HEPA T\u00fcrkiye, where executives of Hungarian companies already operating in T\u00fcrkiye shared their experiences.[\/vc_column_text]
