Strengthening the Trade Bridge Between Hungary and Türkiye with the Support of HEPA Türkiye The Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA Türkiye) continues its efforts at full pace to strengthen the trade and investment ties between Hungary and Türkiye. The meetings held in Mersin and Bursa not only reinforced existing collaborations but also opened doors to new opportunities. Preparations have also been completed for the upcoming event to be hosted by the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce on June 3.

At the “Hungary Country Promotion Meeting” hosted by the Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MTSO), new trade partnerships were explored, building on the strong historical ties between the two countries. MTSO Vice President Cem Bucuge described Hungary and Türkiye as “two rivers nourished by the same source,” emphasizing the potential for future collaborations.

Hungary’s Trade Attaché, Peter Kovesci, highlighted the investment advantages Hungary offers, such as its low 9% corporate tax rate and strategic location. The event also featured a special exhibition showcasing photographs taken in Anatolia in 1914 by Hungarian travelers Zsigmond Fejes and Dr. Béla Lakos, which captivated art enthusiasts.

In Bursa, a meeting organized by the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) in collaboration with HEPA Türkiye focused on technology and innovation-driven partnerships. Hosted by BTSO Board Member Muhsin Koçaslan, the event brought together the Hungarian Consulate General’s Trade Attaché in Istanbul, Miklós Bujáky, and HEPA Türkiye representatives to present opportunities in Hungary to the Turkish business community.

HEPA Türkiye Country Manager Emre Cihad Sönmez stated, “We see strong potential for cooperation between Turkish and Hungarian companies in technology-driven products and services,” and emphasized their readiness to connect Bursa-based firms with Hungarian partners.

Following the successful events in Mersin and Bursa, the HEPA Türkiye and the Hungarian Embassy delegation will meet with the Eskişehir business community at the “Hungary Country Promotion Meeting” to be held at the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce on June 3. The event will cover Hungary’s investment climate, opportunities for technological partnerships, and sector-specific prospects in detail.
