President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the Closing Ceremony of the Turkish-Hungarian Cultural Year alongside Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
The event, held at the Beştepe Nation’s Congress and Culture Center, began with the national anthems of both countries.
Performances featured the Hungarian State Folk Music Ensemble, the Presidential Symphony Orchestra, Ankara State Classical Turkish Music Choir, Ankara State Turkish Folk Music Choir, Konya Turkish Sufi Music Ensemble, Modern Folk Music Ensemble, Turkish World Music Ensemble, and the Istanbul Historical Turkish Music Ensemble.
Orchestras and music groups, led by conductors Cemi’i Can Deliorman, Cem Gürdal, Şükrü Alkan, and Kornel Fekete Kovacs, performed works reflecting the cultures of both nations in an extensive stage production.
The event was also attended by First Lady Emine Erdoğan and Hungarian First Lady Zsuzsanna Nagy.
Additionally, President Erdoğan engaged in a brief conversation with Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen, who was among the attendees. Turkish Grand National Assembly Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş also participated in the exchange.
At the conclusion of the program, President Erdoğan, President Sulyok, and Prime Minister Orban greeted the audience together.
