A Meaningful Visit from HEPA Türkiye and the Hungarian Embassy to the Eskişehir Business Community
Eskişehir, June 4, 2025 — Another significant step was taken to strengthen economic cooperation between Türkiye and Hungary. The delegation of HEPA Türkiye and the Hungarian Embassy came together with prominent representatives of the Eskişehir business community at the “Hungary Country Promotion Meeting” held at the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce.

Hosted by Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce Vice President Özgür Alp and the board of directors, the event was attended by the Ambassador of Hungary Viktor Matis, First Secretary Roland Végh, Commercial Attaché Peter Kövecsi Olah, HEPA Türkiye General Manager Yalçın Orhon, HEPA Türkiye Country Director Emre Cihad Sönmez, and the HEPA Türkiye team.

During the meeting, comprehensive presentations were delivered highlighting Hungary’s economic potential and investment advantages. In addition to promoting the country, many strategic topics were discussed, including technology-oriented collaborations, agricultural and industrial investments, renewable energy opportunities, and access to EU-supported projects.
In his opening speech, Ambassador Viktor Matis emphasized that strengthening the presence of Turkish investors in Hungary would not only enhance bilateral economic relations but also support regional development. HEPA Türkiye General Manager Yalçın Orhon underlined that Hungary, with its strategic location, qualified workforce, and attractive opportunities for investors, could serve as an important hub for Turkish entrepreneurs.

After the meeting, one-on-one discussions were held with participants to evaluate potential cooperation opportunities. This productive gathering established a new bridge between Hungary and the Eskişehir business community, signaling future steps to be taken in the commercial sphere.
